When it comes to mental health and seeking psychological help, it is paramount to find a therapist that you feel comfortable with – otherwise, your therapy won’t reach its highest potential. After all, therapy isn’t just about finding a therapist. It’s about building a relationship with someone you can trust, who understands you and can help you reach your goals.
Having a “good fit” between client and therapist is essential for therapy to be successful. As a client, it’s important to take the time to find a therapist that matches your needs and values. If you don’t “click” with a particular therapist, that’s ok. Your therapist should be someone you feel comfortable enough to be honest and open with.
